Tell The Story With Your Clothes

What do you have in your closet? We are not only talking about what’s hanged and what you often wear, but also about all those things folded and forgotten deep inside your drawers. Do you still have your ex’s T-shirt, skinny jeans which are waiting for some ‘more appropriate’ time to be worn, dresses and skirts which still have tags on? What can be found in a woman’s closet speaks tons about who she is, what she loves and what she is like? Do your clothes reveal much about you, or are you one of those ladies who can effortlessly change styles?

Edgy

When you think edgy, you think rock’n’roll, adrenaline and Demi Lovato. This is the same for girls who dress this way: oversized tees and skin-tight pants, pale faces with one accentuated feature, and high, high heels. Forget about baggy grunge styles of the past – present day edgy girls combine fierce attitudes with feminine attributes and rock the streets as if they were on stage.

Insecure

Believe it or not, there are people whose desire not to be seen can be read in what they wear. If you only wear neutrals, it could indicate that you actually want to disappear and ‘blend in’ the surrounding (i.e. the white walls of your office). These people feel safe and secure only in small circle of their friends, and dread social situations and new people.

Glamorous

We all know the girls who suffer for not being born in another era: either the roaring twenties or the sweet fifties. They use every opportunity to dress up and you can see them wearing red lipstick, pearl necklaces, gloves, and small purses like their grandmas used to wear. Dresses are either custom made for them or found in antique shops and worn with pride, and flats are unacceptable. When we say ‘glamour’ – we think Dita.

Exotic

Asian fashion designers have made an incredible breakthrough in the past years and today nearly everyone knows Vera Wang or Jason Wu, the genius who dresses Michelle Obama. You don’t have to wear other national costumes from other cultures, it is enough t get a piece inspired by the far East to suddenly feel like a tourist in your own home town.

Boho

We mentioned ladies who want to travel back in time and wear pearls and silk loves every day, but there are also those who wish to have been born in the sixties. These women adore anything that reminds them of that time, and often wear lace, silk, beads and flowy and comfortable materials. Flats and beaded sandals are a must as well as a lot of jewelry and long, braided hair.

It does not matter whether your clothes say: feminine, glamorous or retro, what counts is what you are like. You can mix styles in order to get the one you like best and which you feel great wearing, and in the end it is all that matters. There is the right style for every person, and it’s a good thing we are not all alike.
