Simple fact is that the wider is the ring, bigger shall be the diamonds. And more glamorous the ring shall be. But too much wide rings do not look appealing on hands.  It is a barter when calculating the right width.

The width of your band is highly dependent on your selected stone setting style as well. The most opted for style is the grain setting in which each of the stone is held by grains of metal or tiny beads, while a delicate edge creates a border around.
